Welcome to the 2011 Swim Team
Season
The NVSL Seeding meeting in late February
marked the beginning of the 2011 summer swim season. On
behalf of the Hunter Mill Sharks, we would like to thank
Kim Ziegelbauer for all her hard work as she transitions
the team rep responsibilities. As your new team reps, we
would like to announce our new coaching staff and
division seeding. We look forward to a great season and
will make more announcements as they become available.
Watch your inbox for further details. If you have any
questions please send them to
SwimTeam@HunterMill.org.

New Season, New Division
After tying with Fairfax for last
season's Division 3 Championship, Hunter Mill will move
up to compete in Division 2 this year. The other
pools in Division 2 include Fairfax Station,
Highlands Swim, Lee Graham, Little Rocky
Run, and Fairfax. We will see some spirited

Potomac Valley Swim Program
How do those Saturday swimmers get so
fast? Most of them are members of year-round swim teams
and they practice throughout the fall, winter, and
spring with their club teams. We are very fortunate to
live in one of the best regions in the country for
year-round swimming. We have swimmers who compete for
some of the top-rated teams in the entire country,
including Curl-Burke Swim Club, The Fish, Machine
Aquatics, Mason Makos, Potomac Marlins, and York Swim
Club. These clubs offer programs for many different
abilities and different levels of commitment. Please
feel free to contact Coach Jessica at
CoachJessica@HunterMill.org to discuss options for your swimmers
if they wish to pursue winter swimming. Or check out the
Potomac Valley website @
www.pvswim.org. It’s the only way to get faster! |
